Background

It is a moral imperative that everyone have access to adequate healthcare, so that they may have the strength and means to fulfil whatever path they may choose for themselves. For the world to have scientists, doctors, farmers, merchants, teachers, monarchs and presidents, the people aspiring for these roles must lead a healthy life so that they can truly attend to their duties and bring good to the masses. But unfortunately, about half of the general population, that is women, suffer greatly due to the lack of good enough and timely healthcare, and have to often give up on their hopes of pursuing a career, gaining an education, and leading a happy, healthy life.

It is not unknown that women are the greatest victims when it comes to suffering from health related issues. This burden only becomes heavier when they are subjected to multiple pregnancies which take their own toll on the mother and affect their lifespan. Further, to make matters worse, the general attitude towards women’s health everywhere is extremely negligent, and so those suffering with various ailments are often denied diagnosis and treatment. Moreover, it surely does not help that most women have little to no education about how their own bodies work, and that they are often denied the knowledge of how they can best take care of themselves. This fact needs to change, and only then can the fate of women change too. This is why I started the Siha Foundation.
